How to Calculate Your UAS
Find out how your University Admission Score (UAS) is calculated and what subjects count towards your score for local universities entry from AY2026.
From AY 2026 onwards, the maximum Rank Points (RP) or University Admission Score (UAS) to local autonomous universities a student can achieve is 70.
A higher score (out of 70) would place a student in a better position for admissions to university. The RP/UAS is calculated based on the grades that you have obtained for the different subjects you have taken. Each grade corresponds to a different number of rank points as shown in the table below:
From AY2026 onwards, the following subjects will be taken into consideration for UAS computation:
3 H2 content-based subjects
General Paper (GP)
Note:
(1) H1 Mother Tongue Language and/or the fourth H1/H2 content-based subject may be considered if it improves the UAS.
(2) H2 Knowledge & Inquiry (KI) will no longer be considered in lieu of GP. If offered, H2 KI will be considered as a H2 content-based subject.
(3) Students will be required to obtain a pass grade in Project Work to be eligible for admission.
